The battery arrived in the timeline given and seems to be very high quality. The next time I need an eBike battery, I will go back to Bicycle Motor Works.

Battery is great and better than described. However customer service can be better. I understand the work load is hectic, but response to emails takes days. No response to text messages. Would I buy from them again? Yes, I did get what I paid for. But again it's the CS that's lacking some. Best to call and hope they answer.

Charger works great, actually charges the 72v battery pretty quick just a few hours

So I have three bikes. two of which I purchased purchase Chinese made battery with it but fairly recommended brands. With in a year both failed. One died on a ride going up hill where once it put so much amps it would cut out. The other lost capacity in cold weather from 58v max to 54v and eventually to 0v. and did not come back. This is why you need a reliable batter and cell supplier.

Hard to find ISIS crank arms that are straight. I used these to narrow down my fat bike bottom bracket crank width. Trying to save my hips from a 100mm bb. Light, Aluminium cranks!

Best battery I ever bought.

The battery is awesome. Big power and big range even for 18ah. Hit 60mph the other day, definitely a solidly built battery. BMW also did a very good job communicating. Hoping to work together on projects in the future!

Best ebike batteries online

I got a second one of these to connect three batteries. There wasn't enough frame space for that, but the first unit I got continues to reliably connect two batteries . Extra plus for answering all my questions about what could be connected how.

I bought a 52v 8ah battery pack from them for my DIY ebike build. The battery’s performance was impressive I never had any issues with it so far. I actually bought another battery from them. This is the only place I would go if I ever need a battery pack for my next e-bike build.

This chainring was exactly what I needed. This went onto a Canyon Stoic and fit perfectly.

Very well built... The range is crazy good worth every penny....

Installing it was a bit more complex than expected, however now its running well and its a beast for climbing. Thank you.

This is a big pack… prepare to get creative with mounting, just bottle cage bolts will leave this pack a little unstable.

I built mine as a trials like fat bike. Considering a DRZ400 is 250N/m of torque, and this beast is ~300N/m, it's a wild ride. Tuning it down at first is critical for living, until you're ready for a little more. I picked up 140mm ISIS cranks for better ground clearance. I chose unicycle cranks with a flat profile and they worked great on the fatbike I run. 32t front sprocket. 51T Box Two Prime drivetrain. I will be upgrading to a more robust rear hub. If your frame handles the CYC HD drivetrain, go for it. But 190/197mm fatbike hubs aren't an option today. I am _VERY_ impressed with this setup and I'm currently using the 52V 20ah Bicycle MotorWorks pack I had built last year. I _WILL_ buy the new cold weather 72v 20ah pack, but I'm just trying not to die looping out on at the way it runs now. I figure 2 months and I'll be ready for more. Do this upgrade before the lawyers ban high wattage eBikes.....and remember to apply the 250W rated CYC sticker they include in the box. ;) Bicycle Motor Works went beyond for customer service and sourced to another distributor, when import process stalled on their shipment. Just awesome. Thanks. I'm a devoted customer at this point. But keep this in mind: They're not a big crew. If you want a legit quality battery, you've got to wait. Be patient. Let him cook! You'll get a great battery and awesome commitment to supplying the best for the build you want to be the best.

Matt definitely knows how to build some monster batteries. I bought a Cyc x1 Pro gen 4 and a 72v20ah Molicel P50b battery from him and It has turned my bike into a monster. The batteries are made to order so expect some wait time but when you experience the power I promise it will be worth any wait. Thanks again Matt and the rest of the BMW team!

Really like the compact size and lightweight of this battery that fits nicely in frame of my full suspension bike. Space is tight with the rear suspension shock. This battery provides great range for my 10-15 mile rides with another 10-15 miles available. The 52V and current capacity makes my Bafang mid drive much faster.

The CYC X1 pro gen 4, is a work of art, and goes very well with my Molicel cell batteries. It has everything I want in a mid drive motor...high power with multiple settings, and a torque sensor that makes you feel bionic. I like to pedal the whole ride, and only use throttle to avoid a dangerous situation, so the torque sensing is a dream come true. I highly recommend this CYC motor.

I really liked how the charger turned out and it gives the option of changing the adapters

Matt did a fantastic job making this battery. I put it on a little RSF350 bike and rode it around for a few hours and still has charge! The price is a bit more expensive than competitors, but I feel much safer with this battery and quality of build. Definitely worth the peace of mind!

Even though they were a bit backed up they sent my package through priority mail so it arrived sooner. Customer support is also very responsive. I received a battery from them and am excited to receive their photon gen 2.
The battery has been very good so far no complaints.

Really enjoy the fact that the first half of the battery and the 2nd half of the battery run out equally unlike my other battery the 2nd half would die much faster than the first half

Running this on a Bianchi San Jose with a Photon motor. Total weight is 315 lbs, so I was worried about range and sag. This battery is rock solid. On my first commute, I only used 1.0V of capacity. The Bluetooth BMS is great; seeing cells stay balanced during a ride gives me a lot of confidence.

You can tell these are quality custom builds and not mass-produced junk. Really happy to support a shop that puts out stuff this good.

The quality of the batteries is above and beyond the competition. The prices for the super high quality cells is unbeatable. The packaging was so impressive, that I cannot see how a battery packed like this could have any damage. This is my second battery(both Molicel cells), and they don't sag, until they are almost to 0. Matt at Bicycle Motor Works built me a custom high-quality battery. I sent him my battery box that I built to fit my bicycle frame so that he could construct a battery to fit it perfectly. He gave me options on battery cell type, volt and amp hours and level of amps I want to be able to draw from it. He constructed a 52v 20ah battery that delivers long range and great power for my BBHSD mid drive. Battery was very well made, shrink wrapped, plenty of protection/padding surrounding the cells and high quality thick silicone insulated wires were used.

Absolutely love it, amazed by the quality of this kit. Very user friendly, had this installed and up and running in under 2 hours and paired with the pocket rocket V it's a beast.

I got this pack a while ago, as for the good the pack hasn't had any performance issues yet, runs solid. As for the bad, the shrink wrap seems delicate, ripped on all corners after one commute in a frame bag, but it also wasn't tightened down as much as possible, so I've added plastic armor to counteract the slight friction. I would go with a hard case or add your own to this. A minor note is the measurements for this pack are also off by about a quarter inch on two sides.

Do you need this pack? It's highly overbuilt, the 60a bms no where near reaches the max performance of these cells. If you're getting these cells in a pack like this, it's not just to pull a mere 60a. They offer many packs with high end cells, but the 60a BMS is often the bottleneck. With 60a bms in this configuration you're better off maximizing with a more energy dense cell rather than a high output one, it'll be cheaper too. They even offer a version of this pack with a bluetooth 80a bms for only $29 more. If you're going to go with this configuration, I'd go bluetooth, if not, a smaller pack makes more sense with these cells. Overall, can't 100% recommend this pack, but it's decent.

Functions great. Low amp, lower heat. Only issue was that it smelled up the room with a very pungent solder flux smell the first few times of using it and had to air out the house.
